No Youth Vote Left Behind

Minnesota leads the nation in high voter turnout. Despite this, young voters are underrepresented. These voters have unique challenges to voting that can be overcome with outreach and education. Congressional District 5, where the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities is located, has the lowest voter turnout of any CD in the state. This year that will change. MPIRG is reaching out to young voters all across the state to make sure that students are heard on election day.

MPIRG's No Youth Vote Left Behind campaign extends to 15 campuses statewide. MPIRG will have an on-the-ground presence at each of these campuses registering, educating, and moblizing students to participate in the electoral process on November 4.

Get Out the Vote (GOTV) // We are looking for interested volunteers to get involved in our GOTV efforts on and shortly before November 4. If you are interested in participating in this effort, please contact Dan Evans at dan@mpirg.org or 612-627-4035.
